In this discussion panel on 11.10.2022 from 6-9 p.m., representatives from various research disciplines and organizations will discuss the evaluation and review of research and scholarship and any necessary reforms at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Berlin.
Evaluation and review of research and scholarship is a central activity of research organizations, academic institutions, and research funding agencies, as well as researchers.
Numerous high-level stakeholders have recently encouraged reflection on current research evaluation practices, arguing that they do not sufficiently incentivize or reward the quality of all research outputs in their diversity. In our panel discussion, representatives from a variety of research disciplines and organizations will discuss how to responsibly reform current practices.
