The Einstein Center 3R is pleased to have created alternativen-verstehen.berlin, an information resource (in German language) that offers information on alternatives to animal experiments in a way that is understandable to laypersons. Alternative methods such as organoids, 3D bioprinting, multi-organ chips and in-silico methods are discussed here, together with their areas of application as well as their advantages and limitations. In this way, we want to contribute to a realistic public image of the current state of research.
This information service is not intended as a completed project, but as a gradually growing project - just as research is constantly developing and progressing.
