The 14th Animal Experiments Conference of the Swiss Animal Protection STS will take place this year on 18.11.2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. in Olten (Switzerland) or online via Zoom.
The conference will be devoted - both theoretically and practically - to approaches to improving the living conditions of laboratory animals. This includes the presentation of the STS-Rehoming project, various workshops on "Gentle Handling" of laboratory rodents and the problem of "surplus animals". In addition, speakers from the scientific community will present their findings on the 3Rs, replacing animal experiments (Replace), methods for reducing the number and use of laboratory animals (Reduce) and improving animal experiments (Refine).
The conference is recommended by the Association of Swiss Cantonal Veterinarians VSKT as training and continuing education for animal experimentation professionals, and is recognized by the Society of Swiss Veterinarians GST and the STVT.
