BPS Seminar | "Disruptive technologies in veterinary GI-nematodes: From 3D organoid culture to spatial transcriptomics"

Join this month's edition of the Berlin Parasitology Seminar (BPS), a free online seminar series organized by the FU Berlin (Fachbereich Veterinärmedizin, Institut für Immunologie). This time with Dr. Marc Nicholas Faber (Moredun Research Institute, Midlothian, Scotland) on the 10.10.2023 at 5:00 p.m. on-site at RvO Düppel(Robert-von-Ostertag-Str. 7, SR 0.42, 14163 Berlin) or online via WebEx.

About the speaker:

Dr. Faber is working at the Moredun Research Institute (UK), where he studies "bovine abomasal organoids to investigate early parasite-host repsonses using early larvale stages parasitic nematodes and their excretory secretory products." His talk will explore the possibilities for ruminant GI organoids, which is a rather new development in Veterinary Parasitological research.

He will be available to meet anyone who is interested on Monday and Tuesday (09.10. and 10.10.2023). He will bring a VR headset, so you can take an up-close look at his 3D microscopy demo, which you can preview on his Twitter account.

If you are interested, please write an email to Marta Muniz.
