Bf3R Statistics 2022 | Number of laboratory animals decreases again!

The German Center for the Protection of Laboratory Animals (Bf3R), part of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), has published its statistics on the number of laboratory animals in 2022 indicating a further decline in the number of animal experiments and the amount of stress placed on laboratory animals.

This trend is partly due to the ever-increasing use of alternative methods in research and the optimization of experimental designs.
