Two research awards totaling €60,000 for innovative, non-animal research methods are currently being offered by the Berlin State Animal Protection Commissioner. The deadline for applications is 17.10.2021.
The Young Scientist Award is intended to support a promising research project by a young scientist in the field of animal-free research; the Follow-up Award is intended to provide further funding for a research project in the field of animal-free, human-based research that has already been successfully launched. Both prizes are endowed with 30,000 € each and are awarded on the basis of defined selection criteria by an independent jury of scientists who have been active in the field of alternative research for many years.
Application documents are to be submitted by 17.10.2021, preferably digitally, to tierschutzbeauftragte@senjustva.berlin.de or by post to Senatsverwaltung für Justiz, Verbraucherschutz und Antidiskriminierung, Stabsstelle der Landestierschutzbeauftragten, Salzburger Str. 21-25, 10825 Berlin.
